Are TETRA devices waterproof?
The term waterproof insinuates that the device behaves the same under water as it does above water. Since your ears can't pick up sound waves under water (this is why fish have lateral lines), hearing enhancement devices do not meet the criteria to be referred to as fully waterproof. However, we do have the most water resistant hearing devices on the market. They are nano-coated to repel moisture and the IP rating is 58. We have had reports of our devices being worn while swimming and going through the washing machine and they still work. These devices are totally "hunt-proof" as long as you maintain them well. All of our devices float as well!
